You know when you scroll aimlessly down through your Facebook feed and encounter your friend'south adorable little newborn, and then realize in horror that you don't accept a baby souvenir picked out? Yeah. Been there mode besides many times. Those 9 months fly by, huh?

I take officially plant my new go-to infant gift, and I feel similar a behemothic weight has been lifted from my unorganized shoulders. I recollect a woman telling me in one case that she buys 3 of 1 baby gift at a time, just to have some waiting, because all of her friends were becoming grandparents. That'south a brilliant woman. Stockpile the babe stuff and y'all're skilful to go…

Anyhow, do yous want to know what I have accounted wonderful enough to give every new baby that pops into this world? The best blocks ever. I've found them at ane of my favorite places to store: Uncommon Goods. They stone. Don't you love their stuff? They're ane of the very few emails I take non unsubscribed from and actually regularly click through to peruse their site.

Full disclosure: I was contacted by them to do a sponsored postal service and I did a lilliputian spastic jig considering I'm already in dearest with them. Besides finding the coolest stuff, one-half of what they sell is fabricated by hand. Read: they are all well-nigh supporting artists and designers. So why these blocks in item?

4. The shapes don't get TOO far beyond archetype block shape. I feel like it fosters artistic thinking more sometimes when your choices are limited, know what I mean? It's the block equivalent of giving your kid just 3 colors of crayons once in a while instead of the whole box.

5. They appeal to all ages. This i is such a deal-breaker for me when it comes to infant gifts. I demand to feel similar I'm giving something that volition be enjoyed past the babe, and so for years and years and years.
